Some pieces continue to find new life long after they are written. Entrada began as a work for guitar, composed by Tao Bak for his wedding to Yasmin Shere in Trentham on 20 November 1999.
It was initially arranged for string quartet, while later Tao’s father, Henk Bak, created the piano arrangement heard here. This video opens with Ben Rossi performing Entrada live at the piano. Afterwards, in Thoughts and Reflections, Tao and Ben sit down together to revisit the piece’s journey and share how this intimate new performance came to life.
